For us a wedding album is essential as a longlasting memory of your big day and to share your most wonderful moments with your family and friends for decades to come. To flip through your coffee-table book is something really great as wedding photos deserve attention and love, so all our wedding packages include a beautiful wedding album. Today we asked wedding blogger Emily Rochotte why wedding albums are important even in the digital era and we are happy to share her thoughts with you. Enjoy reading, we couldn`t agree more!

Growing up, it was always a fun pastime to look at family photo albums. Flipping through the pages of memories, having your parents or grandparents smile as they relived the memories the photos had captured. Wedding albums were some of the best to flip through, seeing pictures of the family all together and dressed up. Unfortunately, it seems as though wedding albums have become a thing of the past.

Nowadays, often times wedding photographers give you the download link to your very own online album and you and your new spouse sit around the computer, reminiscing over the memories of your wedding day. Online albums are great. You get way more photos than you would in the pre digital era, where all film had to be developed, thus limiting how many photos could be taken and printed out. What you don`t get though, are tangible photos of the memories. Instead, you`ll post your favorites to Facebook or Instagram, maybe email some to friends and family, and then that`s it. The photos live on in a folder on your computer or a little corner of the internet, but they won`t get the same amount of love or the attention they deserve as they would in a wedding album.

By putting your favorite wedding photos on display, you will be able to share your love and joy with family and friends for decades to come. It may be an antiquated tradition, but never underestimate the happiness and smiles a physical photo can bring to you and generations of family and friends to come.
