Last year in summer this idea was born as gold, black and white were (and still are) really trendy colors not just in the area of interior design, but also for weddings and events. Often times people think that you can't go with black for a wedding, but today we would like to prove that the opposite is true. Combine it with white and gold and you have a beautiful, glamorous and chic color palette for your wedding or whatever event - bridal shower, birthday party, baby shower, anniversary - y...
Especially in the digital age printed memories are getting more and more important. There are so many files and photos that we store on our hard drives that we often times forget them once they are archived. Phil and I got married in 2010 and we take our wedding album from the shelf more than once a year, we flip through it and enjoy all the great moments over and over again. To be honest, it took us four - yes 4 - years to create our very own wedding album as I definitely wanted the same type o...
More than proud to announce that we won another international wedding photography award, such an honor! Whoohoo - champagne please! With one of our favorite international weddings we could win the Wedisson Award. This bride is from Canada, the groom from Switzerland and they had a beautiful destination wedding at the 5 star hotel The Dolder Grand in Zurich, Switzerland. It was a gorgeous and intimate wedding as they celebrated with just 35 guests, their closest family and friends. It was such an...
In this post, we would like to address the often neglected but equally important, in our opinion, parts of the wedding day - the quiet highlights of a wedding. When does the wedding day actually start? When you look at most wedding albums, it appears that the day starts with the perfectly styled bridal couple and ends in the church. The reality is completely different and everyone who has personally experienced it would agree with us: the really exceptional moments don't happen at the time ...
We are still having goose pumps when we think back to this week's snowy surprise proposal in St. Anton at the Arlberg. When Alex contacted us a while ago we were in on it right from the beginning. It's something really special if you get asked to join such a wonderful, intimate and once-in-a-lifetime moment. Thank you so much for your trust and for letting us be part of this special occasion. Alex organized everything perfectly and not just the proposal was a surprise, also the photo sho...
Are you already aware of this trend? Engagement photos or as the Americans say engagement shoot. The future bride and groom have their photos taken by a professional photographer. These are the last professional photographs before the wedding. It is fun, enjoy the time together and capture the loving mood. An engagement shoot can take place in various outfits, at various locations, with and without accessories. Two wonderful side effects of this shoot are that on one hand, you have beautiful pi...
For your wedding you invited those people you value the most and you want to have as much time as possible with each one. But a wedding day goes by so quickly and you may not have the chance to talk to everyone or have a long conversation with each one of your guests. To create some everlasting memories a wedding guest book is a great idea, so every guest can sign this book and leave some comments or wishes for the newly weds. Today we would like to share how you can create your own personalized...
Maybe you`ve already seen on social media that we won an INTERNATIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD with Tracey & Kelly`s wedding photo created at the spectacular wine cellar at the Arlberg Hospiz Alm in St. Christoph at the Arlberg. This wedding venue in Tyrol, Austria is really special: unique, rustic and cosy. We could not have been happier when we received the notification that we won a Wedaward, an international wedding photography contest, with one of our all time favorite wedding photos. At...
A lovely decorated table full of sweets is also called candy bar. After the wedding meal, guests can help themselves and try different treats. The candy bar is often the decorative highlight of the room, colored accordingly to the wedding`s motto and it sometimes even has some individual sweets with the names of the bridal couple. Since it`s almost a pity to eat it, the candy bar`s treasures are sometimes brought back home as a souvenir.
Do you remember Megan and Dan? We flew to Philadelphia, USA to photograph their wedding last year. It was a wonderful adventure, not just the wedding, also Dan`s surprise proposal in Zurich months before. Thank you guys for sharing your special moments with us, it was such a pleasure and we really hope to meet you soon again! If you would like to know how working with us feels, check out some words of these two sweethearts in the details of this post.
